26 Nov

I know I still owe you several posts about our weekend but it’s Thanksgiving and I am contemplating on the things I am grateful for.  I’ll be honest enough to say I haven’t been really consistent on being grateful everyday so today, I am taking this time to really think about the many things I am thankful for.

  1. I am thankful, of course, for family and real friends who stood by me and loved me without question.
  2. I am thankful I have access to the basic necessities of life – I work for it, but I am thankful nonetheless.
  3. This year, I am most thankful for a major lesson I learned about life and friendship.  It was painful to go through, but the wisdom I gained was priceless!

I can list a hundred more things I am grateful for but I’ll leave it at the major things and will remind myself to have an attitude of gratefulness everyday!

What are you thankful for?

A Guide on DFA Passport Application

24 Nov

After more than 20 years, I finally renewed my passport! LOL!  My old passport was released way back in 1989! OMG!  Well, we never really travel much so I didn’t see the need to renew my passport,  but I figured, heck, I need to have one, travel or no travel!

I was able to schedule my DFA appointment a month before.  It’s as simple as going to their website and keying in some important details and choosing the date and time of your appointment.  After this, they will send you an email confirmation along with your application form which you have to print and bring to the DFA office on your scheduled date.  What I liked the most was Continue reading

So much to blog about! Here’s what to look forward to:

1. Our passport renewal experience at DFA

2. Our Thai and Chinese day last Saturday

I will get to these posts as soon as I get some much needed rest. I promise.

A Chinese and Thai Day

20 Nov

Since the husbo was running his first 15k at Unilab’s Run United 2, we thought it would be nice to get a massage the day before the event.  So we woke up early and had lunch at Lam Tin, a chinese resto on Banawe Street.  To say we had a feast was an understatement!  We ordered dish after dish and dimsum after dimsum.  What can I say, the husbo was doing his carbo loading before his run. A Trip and a Birthday

17 Nov

We took another trip to the North last week.  This time we were there for Tito Andring.  It’s sad to think of going back there twice in less than 3 months for funerals but albeit the gloomy reason, it was nice seeing family again, especially our cousins from Hawaii.

We were there for one week. Continue reading

Back from Hiatus

16 Nov

The Wifey is back!  I am just tying up some loose ends, I will get back to regular programming very soon.  On my next post, I’ll tell you all about our trip to the North and The husbo’s simple and yet fun birthday lunch suprise.

Meantime, I need to get back to the mountain of laundry waiting for me. 😉

I Love You Boo!

5 Nov

This cutie never fails to brighten my day!

I’ve always been a dog lover.  I guess I got that from my dad.  I can’t remember a time when our house was without a dog. No offense to cat lovers out there.  I don’t hate cats, I am just partial to dogs.

I am in love with the Shih-Tzu breed. I have 3 of ’em! But lately, a certain breed has captured my heart.  Meet Boo.  Boo is a dog, yes, a real dog! He’s of the pomeranian breed and this cutie never fails to brighten my day!  No, he isn’t mine, though I sure wish he was!

I found Boo over at Facebook and it was love at first sight!  The husbo is getting jealous already because Boo has taken over my laptop and my phone. LOL!  Check out his videos on FB, he will put a smile on your face!  Kudos to Boo’s human, great job in raising him!

It was a typical wifey day although I almost didn’t make it home in time for the husbo’s breakfast. Continue reading
