Zombie

7 Feb

My cup of coffee keeping me awake.

Hello all!  This is the wifey checking in – 14 hours without sleep and counting! I feel like a zombie already. The network’s kinda slow so I am able to post this while waiting. Multitasking!

I’ve been swamped with a lot of work the past week that I only get a maximum 6 hours of sleep, sometimes less.  I even had to work this weekend and the longest sleep I had was 12 hours because the husbo was so concerned he refused to wake me up even when I told him so.  He is that sweet!

This is a complicated project I am working on. Yes, all that hours of work for just 1 project.  Put in the other projects I am assigned with and I feel like I am going to die of exhaustion.  But that’s okay, I always keep in mind Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Chris who strengthens me!”  True, it is only by God’s grace and strength that I am still alive, awake, alert, enthusiastic! 🙂

I am sure though that once this project is up and running smoothly as one can expect, I will get some much deserved rest – Lord, vacation please! By the beach if You will. Okay have to go back to work now.  Will be working for another 30 minutes then get some 3 hours sleep and will work again before I leave for the office tonight. o_O

Weekly Roundup – The First Week of 2011

9 Jan

Hello? Anyone here?  It’s me, the wifey, checking in.

The first week of the year has gotten me busy with several projects both at home and at work.  While it’s not the crazy-no sleep type of projects, it has me quite on my toes.

Let’s start the week’s roundup, shall we?

Blogging Al Fresco

  1. Temporarily moved to do my work outside (terrace).  For some reason this laptop could not get any WiFi signal inside our room.  So I am blogging Al Fresco!
  2. First day back at work after the long Christmas holiday.  Word of the day is lethargic. Everyone still seem hesitant to come back to work (but we have to start sometime, right?).
  3. First day working at a different location.  I grabbed the opportunity of transferring when asked.  I felt I needed a change of environment without moving companies.
  4. The birth of several ideas that came to mind while I was home.  Ideas to earn a bit more on the side.  I figured I might as well start now if I hoped to fulfill that plan of being a work at home wifey.
  5. Our church’s annual prayer and fasting started this week.
  6. Weekly run with the husbo.

The rest of the time that I was not sleeping was spent on the internet diligently doing some research for the ideas mentioned above.  I am hoping I could give life to them very soon! I’ll keep you posted.

How about you? How was the first week of 2011 for you?

Thinking of Staying At Home

3 Nov

Aargh I woke up late, yet again. I blame the really nice bed weather! LOL!  I am still waiting for the husbo though so we can have dinner together.

I am honestly not in the mood to work.  The more I think about working from home, the more I abhor going to work.  Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate the salary and benefits I get, but I can’t help but think that there’s an alternative way of earning without sacrificing time for my family?
